Little Wekiva River Erosion Mitigation

GEC provided geotechnical engineering support for the design and construction of erosion stabilization improvements along an approximately 3-mile segment of the Little Wekiva River between SR 436 and SR 434 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Erosion stabilization design included a combination of sheet pile wall, gabion basket retaining walls and articulated concrete block (ACB) mat armoring along the riverbank slopes.
